Cooking Instructions: Heat sauce gently in a saucepan over medium-high heat for four minutes. Pour over your favorite pasta.
One-Pot Creamy Sausage Pasta
Feeds 2-4 People
INGREDIENTS
- 16oz fusilli pasta
- 1lb. ground pork sausage
- 1 medium yellow onion, finely diced
- 2 tbsp. Botticelli Frying Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp. Botticelli Minced Garlic
- 1 jar of Botticelli Rossa Alfredo
- 32oz beef or vegetable stock
- grated ricotta salata cheese or parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
- fresh basil, for garnish
PREPARATION
In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground sausage and begin to break it apart into small pieces. Add in the onion and stir to combine. Brown until the sausage is no longer pink and the onions have caramelized. About 2-3 minutes.
Add the minced garlic, salt and pepper and stir to combine. Continue to brown, for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Pour in the Rossa Alfredo sauce and stir to combine. Once combined, add in the pasta and beef stock. Stir to combine. Then, add enough water to coat the pasta so all of the noodles are just covered.
Reduce heat to medium and let it simmer for 20 minutes or until pasta is done and the sauce has thickened. Stir every couple minutes to avoid sticking and remember to add water in small increments if necessary.
Once done, serve and enjoy with fresh basil and grated ricotta salata.
