One-Pot Creamy Vodka & Sausage Pasta

INGREDIENTS

• 1 lb. ground Italian sausage

• 1 lb. pipe rigate pasta
• 1 jar Botticelli Creamy Vodka Pasta Sauce
• ¼ cup red wine
• 32 oz. chicken stock
• 3 tbsp. Cooking Extra Virgin Olive Oil
• 2 cups brussels sprouts, thinly sliced
• Grated fresh parmesan, for garnish
• Fresh basil, for garnish

PREPARATION

In a large pot over medium-high heat, add extra virgin olive oil. Add in the ground Italian sausage and begin to break up into crumbles. Stirring continuously, evenly brown the sausage for five minutes.

Add in the red wine and stir well to combine. Cook for another 4-5 minutes or until the sausage is fully browned. Add the stock, the Creamy Vodka Pasta Sauce, and pasta. Stir to fully coat the pasta. Add water just to cover the pasta and reduce to medium-low. Bring to a soft boil stirring occasionally.

Let pasta cook to al dente. Add water one cup at a time as needed. It should thicken and become creamy the more liquid is absorbed.

Once it has absorbed the water and the pasta has cooked to al dente, stir in the brussels sprouts and let cook for 2-3 minutes.

Let cool for five minutes, top with grated fresh parmesan, fresh basil, serve, and enjoy!
