INGREDIENTS
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups Botticelli Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce
- fresh basil for garnish
- fresh, toasted Italian bread, sliced
- red pepper flakes, optional
PREPARATION
Pour the Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce into a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Let it come to a simmer, then let it simmer for about five minutes.
Using the back of the ladle, create four indents in the sauce. Crack each egg and place it inside the craters one at a time. Cover with a lid and let cook for about five minutes or until the eggs are cooked to your liking.
Top with fresh basil and serve. Sprinkle red pepper flakes if you’d like to add some heat.
