Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce

Cooking Instructions: Heat sauce gently in a saucepan over medium-high heat for a few minutes. Pour over your favorite pasta. 

Easy Gnocchi Bake

INGREDIENTS:

PREPARATION:

  1. Preheat oven to 400F
  2. In a large heavy-bottom skillet, preferably cast iron, heat 2 tbsp. of Cooking Extra Virgin Olive Oil over medium high heat.
  3. Add the pearled onions and sauté (caution, you are adding water to a hot pan with oil, reduce heat if needed) for about 15 minutes, stirring every other minute or so.
  4. Once the onions have thawed a bit and gotten some color, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 2 minutes more.
  5. Add the Tomato & Basil Sauce and stir to combine.
  6. Cover with foil and place in the oven to let bake for about 10 to 15 minutes or until onions are tender.
  7. Once tender, remove from the oven and discard the foil. Carefully add in the gnocchi and stir in to ensure they are all coated.
  8. Top with the slices of mozzarella and place back into the oven to bake for an additional 15 minutes or until to the cheese is nice and bubbly.
  9. Once done, remove and let rest for 10 minutes. Top with chopped fresh parsley, serve and enjoy!
