Cooking Instructions: Heat sauce gently in a saucepan over medium-high heat for a few minutes. Pour over your favorite pasta. 

Hot & Saucy Baked Cod

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 cod fish fillets, boneless
  • 2 cups Botticelli Traditional Pasta Sauce
  • 1lb. angel hair pasta, substitute gluten free if preferred
  • Red chili flakes
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
  • lemon wedges, for serving

PREPARATION

  1. Preheat your oven to 375F.
  2. In a large pot of salted water, boil the angel hair pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper. 
  4. In a baking dish large enough for all four fillets to lay flat, pour 1 cup of the Traditional pasta sauce to evenly coat the bottom and sprinkle with red chili flakes.
  5. Lay the fillets flat in the pan, in an even layer. 
  6. Spoon the remaining Traditional pasta sauce over the fillets to cover them evenly. Sprinkle the top with more red chili flakes.
  7. Cover the baking dish with the lid or aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Once the fish is baked, remove from the oven and start to assemble.
  9. Place the pasta on the plate and top each with a fillet. Spoon in the sauce and top with fresh parsley and lemon wedges. Serve and enjoy!
