Cooking Instructions: Heat sauce gently in a saucepan over medium-high heat for a few minutes. Pour over your favorite pasta.
Hot & Saucy Baked Cod
INGREDIENTS
- 4 cod fish fillets, boneless
- 2 cups Botticelli Traditional Pasta Sauce
- 1lb. angel hair pasta, substitute gluten free if preferred
- Red chili flakes
- salt and pepper to taste
- chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
- lemon wedges, for serving
PREPARATION
- Preheat your oven to 375F.
- In a large pot of salted water, boil the angel hair pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a baking dish large enough for all four fillets to lay flat, pour 1 cup of the Traditional pasta sauce to evenly coat the bottom and sprinkle with red chili flakes.
- Lay the fillets flat in the pan, in an even layer.
- Spoon the remaining Traditional pasta sauce over the fillets to cover them evenly. Sprinkle the top with more red chili flakes.
- Cover the baking dish with the lid or aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
- Once the fish is baked, remove from the oven and start to assemble.
- Place the pasta on the plate and top each with a fillet. Spoon in the sauce and top with fresh parsley and lemon wedges. Serve and enjoy!
