Fried Burrata with Vodka Sauce


 

INGREDIENTS:

PREPARATION:

In a heavy bottom saucepan, heat the frying olive oil to 350F. Be sure to add enough oil to fully submerge the burrata. In another saucepan, bring the Alla Vodka sauce to a simmer.

Set up a breading station with 3 bowls. Add the flour to the first bowl. In another bowl, whisk the eggs. In the remaining bowl add the panko, grated parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Mix to combine.

Pat the burrata dry and dredge it in flour. Shake off the excess flour, then dip it into the eggs. Finally, toss the burrata in the panko herb mix until fully coated. Repeat with remaining burrata.

Carefully lower the breaded burrata, 2-3 at a time, into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3 minutes. Spoon the warm Alla Vodka sauce onto a serving plate and place the fried burrata on top. Garnish with freshly shredded parmesan cheese, fresh basil and red pepper flakes. Serve, and enjoy!
