INGREDIENTS:
- 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1/2 cup Botticelli Marinara Pasta Sauce
- 1 cup freshly shredded mozzarella cheese
- Pepperoni
- Freshly shredded parmesan
- Fresh basil
- Egg wash
- Pinch dried oregano
PREPARATION:
- Preheat the oven to 400F and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
- Lightly roll out the puff pastry to get rid of the creases and cut into large triangles with a knife or use a Christmas tree cookie cutter.
- Using a small round cookie cutter, cut the pepperonis into smaller circles.
- Place the puff pastry on the prepared sheet pan and spread on a thin layer of sauce, leaving the boarder free of sauce.
- Sprinkle on the mozzarella and top with pepperoni. Sprinkle with oregano and parmesan.
- Brush the edges of the trees with egg wash and bake for 15 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and golden, and the cheese is bubbling.
- Top with fresh basil and enjoy!
