Puff Pastry Christmas Tree Pizzas


INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup Botticelli Marinara Pasta Sauce
  • 1 cup freshly shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Pepperoni
  • Freshly shredded parmesan
  • Fresh basil
  • Egg wash
  • Pinch dried oregano

PREPARATION:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400F and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Lightly roll out the puff pastry to get rid of the creases and cut into large triangles with a knife or use a Christmas tree cookie cutter.
  3. Using a small round cookie cutter, cut the pepperonis into smaller circles. 
  4. Place the puff pastry on the prepared sheet pan and spread on a thin layer of sauce, leaving the boarder free of sauce.
  5. Sprinkle on the mozzarella and top with pepperoni. Sprinkle with oregano and parmesan.
  6. Brush the edges of the trees with egg wash and bake for 15 minutes or until the pastry is puffed and golden, and the cheese is bubbling.
  7. Top with fresh basil and enjoy!
