Cooking Instructions: Heat sauce gently in a saucepan over medium-high heat for a few minutes. Pour over your favorite pasta.
Creamy Tomato & Burrata Rigatoni
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 lb rigatoni pasta
- 1 jar Botticelli Creamy Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce
- 8oz fresh burrata
- Fresh basil, for garnish
- Botticelli Finishing Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Chili pepper, optional
PREPARATION:
- Heat a large pot of salted water over medium high heat and let come to a boil. Add the rigatoni and cook to package instructions for al dente, approx. 11-14 minutes.
- Once done, reserve some of pasta water, strain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, add the Creamy Tomato & Basil pasta sauce and heat for 2 minutes over medium high heat.
- Add the rigatoni and a splash of the reserved pasta water and stir to combine ensuring all the rigatoni is well coated. Let cook for about 5 minutes or until sauce has thickened.
- Then, top with the burrata. Using your fingers, tear into the burrata and place the chunks across the top of the pasta. Turn off the heat, and cover with a lid for 2 to 4 minutes to let the burrata slightly melt.
- Lastly, sprinkle with chili pepper for added heat, a drizzle of Finishing Extra Virgin Olive Oil to elevate the dish, and fresh basil for a pop of color. Serve and enjoy!
