A Go-To Dinner That Never Disappoints
16oz Penne Pasta
- 1 lb Broccoli Rabe, cut into thirds
- 16oz Ground Italian Sausage
- 3 tsp. Botticelli Minced Garlic
- 2 tbsp. Botticelli Cooking Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Salt and Pepper to Taste
- Parmesan Cheese to Garnish, optional
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Pour in penne and cook to package directions or until they reach your desired bite. Reserve a cup of pasta water and set aside.
In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, pour in our Cooking Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Add in the sausage and begin browning it. Mince it into chunks until you reach bite-size pieces.
Once fully browned, add the minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
Then add in the cup of pasta water and begin adding in the broccoli rabe. Make sure to keep stirring the broccoli rabe to ensure it evenly cooks and gets mixed with the sausage.
Don't overcook. Once wilted, add in your penne pasta and mix to combine well. Garnish with Parmesan if you please, and serve!
