Cooking Instructions: Heat sauce gently in a saucepan over medium-high heat for a few minutes. Pour over your favorite pasta.
Italian Sausage & Ravioli Bake
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 lb ground hot Italian sausage
- 1 jar Botticelli Alla Vodka Pasta Sauce
- 20oz fresh spinach & cheese ravioli
- 8oz fresh mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
- 3 tbsp. Botticelli Cooking Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
PREPARATION:
- Preheat your oven to 400F.
- In a large saucepan over medium high heat, add the Cooking Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Once heated, add the sausage, and begin breaking it up using a spoon or masher. Let cook until browned, and then remove from heat. Drain any excess rendered fat.
- Then add the jar of Alla Vodka Sauce and stir to combine. Let cook for 2 minutes together, stirring often.
- In a tall 9x13in baking dish, first pour a ladle full of the meat sauce and spread thinly to coat the bottom of the dish.
- Then place a loose layer of raviolis followed by a thicker layer of the sauce, reserving enough to top off the bake.
- Next, place in the rest of your raviolis followed by the rest of the sauce.
- Next, top with the slices of mozzarella cheese and place in the oven to cook for about 25-30 minutes or until bubbly. Switch the oven to broil for 5 minutes for even bubblier cheese.
- Remove from oven and let stand for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley, serve and enjoy!
