12 Ways To Upcycle Your Glass Jars

Getting Organized One Jar At A Time

As most of our products are packaged in glass jars, we want to share some creative ideas for upcycling them to not only help you declutter but help make a positive impact on the planet!

The steps are simple: once you purchase a jar or bottle of Botticelli, clean it and set it to dry. Keep the label on if you want a creative conversation starter, and start storing! The storing possibilities are endless, but here are just 12 ideas to get you started.

  1. Make it a planter - Are you seeking an elegant method to exhibit your hydroponic plants? These jars not only create a conversation starter but also serve as an excellent starting point for plant cuttings!
  2. Store your bulk spices - Say farewell to disorganized and uninspired containers and welcome a cleaner, more elegant organization. Add your personal touch to the labels and let your kitchen showcase your unique style.
  3. Store your crafts - No matter what your hobby is, a glass jar can be essential for storage. Whether you want to store your loose knickknacks or display your favorite fine-art instruments in a cute way, a glass container can help organize your creative space!
  4. Make it a vase - What better vase to store your table flowers than one that came straight from Italy? This could be a unique idea for an Italian-themed dinner party.
  5. Make a candle - Date night called; it wants you to make a candle! Not only is it cheaper than buying a glass container for your next candle pour, but it also will put a smile on any pasta lover’s face. Clean, pour and enjoy.
  6. Store or gift your homemade snacks - Impress your loved ones with homemade snacks or baking kits. Add a bow or twine and a note to gift them away! You can even use them to store your favorite bulk snacks and candies.
  7. Store your nuts and bolts - Your garage could always use some organizing, and those pesky containers full of nuts, bolts, screws, etc., never last long enough to continue storing them. While you should be cautious while storing tools in glass jars, these smaller bits tend to be okay when used under safe circumstances.
  8. Store your toiletries - Get crafty in your bathroom to store your loose odds and ends in a creative way. Our Cherry Pepper Jars are the perfect jar to store some cotton balls or swabs!
  9. Organize office supplies - A glass jar can go a long way to help you organize your desk accessories. Whether you simply need a new container for your pens and pencils or a creative way to store pushpins and paper clips.
  10. Pet treat storage containers - A glass jar not only looks nicer on your counter than the plastic bag it came in, but it also keeps your pet’s treats fresher for longer.
  11. Make a New Year’s Jar - Write something good that happened each week on a piece of paper and place it in the jar. On New Year’s, open the jar and be reminded of all the milestones, happy memories, and good times throughout the year! Make one for the whole family or even one per person.
  12. Lid Magnets - We know by now what to do with our leftover jars, but oftentimes, that leaves you with random lids! Make them into fridge magnets featuring your loved ones. First, clean them thoroughly. Feel free to spray paint them to match your kitchen aesthetics or leave them as is if you prefer. Add a magnet to the back with some glue. Then measure out the size of your lid and cut out your favorite printed image. Lastly, glue it to the inside of the lid. These magnets are a cute way to bring some personalization to your fridge!
